How to crack WEP
and how to defend against it!

wireless network protected
with WEP. Importantly, how to
defend
against these tactics!
Don't use WEP for your wireless
network!!
Connect
a wireless router to a wired
router Configure
wireless router only.
Do the following:
1. Change IP address to avoid
conflicts
(Such as 192.168.1.2)
2. Change mode to Router
from Gateway
3. Turn off DHCP Server
(wired router
will handle that)
4. Connect via regular ports
(no uplink or
WAN ports)
5. Secure wireless network with
WPA
(don't use WEP
- see above)
